Modern Day Game of Thrones AU → Jon/RobbA Hundred Million Suns and Stars

your freezing speech bubbles seem to hold your words alofti want the smoky clouds of laughter to swim about me forever more

When half-brothers Jon and Robb lose their father, Ned, it’s hard not to feel like they’ve lost each other as well. All their lives they’ve been close, closer even than most full blooded siblings could claim, but Robb’s mother Catelyn has never been fond of Jon or what he represents - their father’s infidelity, for example. With her dearest Ned gone forever, Catelyn sends Jon away to Winterton to work and live with his uncle Ben where he must forge a whole new life for himself. Robb, at the age of 18, is forced into the role of man of the house and helping to raise his four younger siblings. As they find their individual ways through young adulthood, struggling to deal with life and it’s surprises , Robb and Jon stay in close contact via telephone and letters, planning and saving to reunite when they’re on their own feet. They grow closer as time passes and find a comfort that is more than brotherly in the sound of each other’s voices.
